Saints Suffer Setback at Aquinas

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's soccer team fell 7-0 on the road to Aquinas in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) action on Wednesday night. The Saints (5-6-2, 2-5-2 WHAC) fall out of the top-eight in the league standings with the loss and will now need to win their final game of the regular season to have a shot at qualifying for the WHAC tournament.

Alex Hanosh and George Ellis registered the two shots on goal for the Saints in the contest. Jacob Wojciechowski (L, 4-5-1) got the loss in net for Siena Heights.

Aquinas scored two goals in the first half while outshooting SHU 6-3 in the 45-minute period. The final five goals were put on the board in the second half of the game as the home team pressed for a 14-3 advantage in shots for the second half.

Siena Heights returns to Adrian for a home contest with UNOH this Saturday, October 30 at noon. This contest will be the final one for the Saints in the 2021 regular season.
