Football Wraps Up 2024 With Dominant Win at Madonna

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights football team closed out its season with a 45-3 victory over MSFA Mideast opponent Madonna on Saturday.

Quarterback Elijah Taylor threw two touchdown passes, reaching 16 on the season to tie his own SHU single-season record from a year ago. Taylor, who completed 11 of 19 passes for 219 yards, also ran in a touchdown.

Running back Brendan Haisenleder had 26 carries for 120 yards and topped the 1,000-yard mark for rushing in 2024. He had a touchdown run and finished with 1,017 yards on the season.

Wide receiver Tendaji Alexander was the top receiver with five catches for 93 yards and one score.

Linebackers Jack Howey and Clarke Hamilton had six tackles apiece. Defensive lineman Wyatt Howe added a sack.

A 1-yard run by Taylor finished off SHU's first scoring drive, putting the Saints (3-7, 2-3) ahead for good.

In the second quarter, Taylor found Alexander for a 41-yard touchdown catch. Haisenleder added a 2-yard TD run and kicker David Medvedik connected from 43-yards-out to help the Saints to a 24-3 halftime lead.

Wide receiver JaMarcus Barnes had a 15-yard touchdown pass from Taylor in the third quarter.

During the fourth, quarterback Braylen Himmelein hit H-Back Aaron Bellamy for a 41-yard pass-and-catch to paydirt.

The Saints' final touchdown was scored on a 10-yard run by wide receiver Troy West II.
