ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights football team fell to Marian, 31-9, in MSFA interdivisional action on Saturday at O'Laughlin Stadium.

Wide receiver Chris Coleman had the Saints' lone touchdown on a 42-yard pass from quarterback Elijah Taylor. At the time, SHU took a 7-3 lead late in the first quarter.

Taylor finished 16 of 32 for 195 yards and the score. Coleman had four receptions for 67 yards.

On defense, Jack Fitzgerald had seven tackles while Clarke Hamilton and Marlow Mahone Jr. added six apiece. Fitzgerald also had an interception and Hamilton had a sack.

The Siena Heights defense recorded a safety late in the second quarter, helping SHU pull within 17-9 before Marian scored 14 unanswered points in the second half.

The Saints (0-2, 0-1) will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 14, when Olivet Nazarene visits O'Laughlin.
