Baseball Sweeps Lawrence Tech

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights baseball team won a pair of double-header contests against Lawrence Tech on Friday. SHU won the first game 3-0 and completed the sweep winning the second game 6-4. 

The Saints will return to action on Sunday, April 6, at 1 & 4 p.m. EDT vs Madonna. 

Game One: Siena Heights 3, Lawrence Tech 0 

Gino Hutchinson led SHU at the plate going 2-for-3. Jack Semler and Landon DeVaney also added one hit each. 

Chase Molnar went the distance on the hill allowing just three hits and striking out one batter. 

An RBI from Kaleb Woods got SHU on the board which resulted in Hutchinson scoring an unearned run in the second. In the third, DeVaney hit another RBI single and Eads walked to record an RBI to seal it for SHU in game one. 

Game Two: Siena Heights 6, Lawrence Tech 4  

Offensively, Gino Hutchinson led SHU at-bat going 3-for-4. 

Shilo Bernal Jr. went the distance on the mound and was charged with four earned runs off seven hits while striking out two batters. 

LTU scored the first four runs of the game as SHU scored the last six. 

The Saints warmed up their bats in the fifth with RBIs from Jimmy Haranczak and Kaleb Woods. Devin Eads tied the game with a two-RBI double to make it 4-4. 

Caden Gomes grabbed the lead back for SHU for good with a sacrifice fly. Later in the at-bat, Semler tallied an RBI single to complete the sweep.
