The following was printed on Lawrence Miller's HOF
plaque:
Lawrence “Magic” Miller was a two-time NAIA
All-District #23 guard and a four-year letterman for the
Saints’ basketball team. As a junior, he was named to
the NAIA All-District #23 Team. As a senior, he was named the
Saints’ Most Valuable Player and joined the 1,000 point
club. Miller was twice named the team’s Defensive
Player-of-the-Year (in 1981 and 1983).
During his four-year career, the Saints won four Maple City
Classic Tournaments—something no other group of Saints have
ever done.
Miller was one of the best all-around players to ever wear a
Saints’ basketball uniform.
