The following was printed on Tyrone Richardson's HOF
plaque:
Tyrone Richardson began his collegiate career before there was a
Fieldhouse at Siena Heights College, and he played before the days
of the three-point line. Richardson played for the Saints
from 1976-80, and his first season in ‘76 was only the second
year in the tradition-rich history of men’s basketball at
Siena Heights. During his four-year career, Richardson led the
Saints to their first two 20-win seasons under SHU Hall of Fame
coach Ben Braun. At the conclusion of his collegiate career,
Richardson had scored 1,430 points and was the all-time leading
scorer in the program’s young history. 27 years
later—and at the time of his induction into the Siena Heights
University Athletic Hall of Fame—he still ranks #9 all-time
in scoring for the Saints.
