The following was printed on Kenon Goree's HOF
plaque:
Siena Heights University Track & Field Coach Tim Bauer
called Kenon Goree “the purest runner” he’s ever
coached in a tenure that spans nearly 25 years. Goree, along
with teammate and best friend Don Jackson (who is also a 2007
inductee), helped the Saints run away with three Wolverine-Hoosier
Athletic Conference indoor track & field championships from
1994-96, as well as the 1995 and 1996 WHAC outdoor
championships. His personal best in the 600 meter dash was a
school record at Siena Heights for 10 years (94-04) and still ranks
as the second-best 600 meter time in school history. Goree
earned NAIA Honorable Mention All-American honors in both 1994 and
1996 as a member of the Saints’ distance medley relay
team.
