The following is inscribed on Bill Blackerby's Hall of Fame plaque:
A longtime Siena Heights University business faculty member, Bill Blackerby also served as the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference’s Faculty Athletic Representative for nearly two decades. He was a representative on the WHAC Executive Committee from 1998-2016 and served as WHAC treasurer for many years. Blackerby was very instrumental in helping the conference make a transition to a full-time commissioner and served on the conference Eligibility Committee for many years as well as many ad hoc committees, including the SHU Athletic Hall of Fame Committee. He was a key part of the SHU Football Task Force in 2010. Last but not least, Blackerby’s impact was felt throughout the athletic department teams as he taught, mentored and advised many of the Saints athletes throughout his long and distinguished academic career.
