Siena Heights University Announces Three Individuals and One Team to 2022 Hall of Fame Class

ADRIAN, Mich. – Siena Heights University announced three individuals and one team to be inducted into the SHU Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2022.

The class consists of Cory Lehman (Baseball), Nicole Coffey (Women’s Basketball), and Lindsey Mancini (Women’s Soccer) as the individual inductees. The 2009 SHU women’s soccer team will also be inducted into the class of 2022.

In addition, SHU Hall of Fame Class of 2020 inductee, James Woolsey (Baseball) will do his induction ceremony with the class of 2022. The ceremony is scheduled for Friday, September 30, 2022.

The following are brief descriptions of each of the 2022 inductees:

• Nicole Coffey ’05 was a 2002-03 WBCA Honorable Mention All-American as well as a three-time second-team All-WHAC honoree. She made the 2004-05 All-WHAC defensive squad. Coffey finished her career with the Saints second all-time in scoring, now currently fourth, with her 1,535 points. She ranks in the top 10 career records for points, points per game, field goals, field goals attempts, 3-point field goals, 3-point field goal attempts, free throws, free throw attempts, assists, and steals.

• Corey Lehman ’13 is one of the most decorated players in the history of the SHU baseball program. He was named a 2012 NAIA All-America Honorable Mention as well as the 2012 WHAC Player of the year along with being a two-time first-team All-WHAC and all-academic recipient. Lehman finished his career ranked in the top 10 career records for at-bats, hits, runs, doubles, triples, runs batted in, batting average, and walks.

• Lindsey Mancini ’11 was an All-WHAC second-team pick in 2008. She moved up to a first-team All-WHAC selection in both 2009 and 2010. For the 2009 campaign, she was named the WHAC defensive player of the year as well as an NSCAA All-Region and first-team All-America. She finished her career with 80 games started, which currently is tied for third all-time in the career record books.

• The 2009 SHU women’s soccer team finished with a 15-3-3 overall record. The squad was undefeated in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) with a 10-0-2 mark and were crowned the WHAC regular seasons champions. The ’09 Saints won the WHAC tournament and only allowed eight goals against all season—just two goals against in conference play. They finished the season ranked 19th in the country and had 1,305 consecutive minutes of play without allowing a goal.

The 2022 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place during homecoming weekend on Friday, September 30, 2022.
