The following was printed on Gail Shinall's HOF plaque:
Gail Shinall (1982-87) was a coach, pioneer and major factor in the success of the Siena Heights men's wrestling program in the late 80s and early 90s. He coached the Siena Heights men's wrestling team to a regional championship in 1985. That Saints' squad was later inducted into the SHU Hall of Fame in 2003. Two wrestlers from the group are also inductees: Bob Meszaros (2000) and Jerry Frebes (2013). Shinall coaches his men to a third-place finish at the National Catholic Championships in 1985 and finished with a career duals record, both high school and collegiate, of 144-43-3.
