The following was printed on Doug Dawson's HOF plaque:
Doug Dawson (2008-13) was a two-sport star during his time at Siena Heights, competing for the Saints' track & field and soccer teams. His top accomplishment came on the track when he won the 400-meter dash at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships, clocking in at 47.80 seconds while running on a broken foot. Dawson had previously been an All-American in the indoor 400, having placed third in 2012. He was a member of two relay teams in the Top 8: the 4x400 squad which placed fifth at 2011 Indoors and the 4x400 that was runner-up at 2012 Outdoors. Dawson holds two school record in indoor track with times of 34.35 in the 300 and 47.33 in the 400. He is also part of two school-record 4x400 teams: both were run in 2013 as the Outdoor crew ran in 3:10.86 an the Indoor foursome ran in 3:15.86. Dawson won seven individual track championships and two in relays: 400 Indoor (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013), 200 Indoor (2011, 2013), 400 Outdoor (2012), 4x400 Indoor (2011) and 4x400 Outdoor (2012). On the soccer pitch, Dawson was a two-time All-WHAC Player with First Team accolades in 2010 and Second Team honors in 2011. In 68 games, he totaled 14 goals and four assists.
