Nine Siena Heights athletic teams were honored by the NAIA for their work in the classroom during the 2018-2019 academic year.
The teams there were honored were the baseball team (3.15), the women's basketball team (3.20), the competitive cheer team (3.26), the competitive dance team (3.48), the women's golf team (3.71), the women's lacrosse team (3.00), the women's soccer team (3.50), the softball team (3.45), and the women's volleyball team (3.49).
In order to be eligible for the award, all student-athletes that competed in a varsity game or contest must be calculated within the teams' GPA for the academic year. Teams must have earned at least a 3.00 GPA over the course of the two semesters. There were a total of 1,939 teams honored with the award.
