SHU Women’s Cross Country Finishes Third at Bethel University Invitational

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Siena Heights women's cross country team placed third in the standings at the Bethel University Invitational on Friday afternoon. The Saints finished the day with a total time of 1:41:54 and an average time of 20:22 for a score of 88 points.

The Notre Dame Running Club finished atop the standings in front of Indiana Wesleyan. The Saints placed above Grace and Olivet Nazarene. Host Bethel (Ind.) was sixth ahead of St. Ambrose, followed by Lourdes. Moody Bible and Governors State rounded out the team standings.

Xochitl Garcia led the way for Siena Heights, who finished the race in 19:23 to place sixth as an individual. Emily Monroe, Morgan Turk, and Brooke Hildebrandt finished back-to-back-to-back in 17, 18, and 19th. Monroe finished the race in 20:18.9, Turk at 20:31, and Hildebrandt in 20:38.8. Bridgette Dudley finished in 28th with a time of 21:02 with Brianna Martin in 30th after a time of 21:11.6. Ryann Jibson placed just behind Martin with a time of 21:12 to finish off the top seven for SHU.

OTHER SAINT FINISHERS

Perla Reyes was 33rd after a finish of 21:17.6. Jordyn Bronowski was 36th with a time of 21:21. Bailey McCulloch was 40th with 21:31. Alexis Cordle placed 44th with a time of 21:41.7. Isabelle Uganski finished 45th with a time of 21:44. Jezra Reyes and Clara Losey completed the finishes for the Saints. Reyes had a time of 22:10, while Losey finished at 24:20.

The SHU women's cross country team will get a short break before competing at the Great Lakes Invitational in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Saturday, October 22.
