Siena Heights Women’s Cross Country Finishes 4th at Lansing Invitational

LANSING, Mich. – The Siena Heights women's cross country team placed fourth in the team standings at the Lansing Invitational on Friday afternoon. The Saints compiled a team time of 1:41:58 for an average time of 20:23 and a score of 109 to claim the fourth spot.

Michigan State topped the team leaderboard ahead of host Lansing CC and Wayne State. SHU was the highest placing NAIA school in the race in front of Madonna, Rochester, Lourdes, and Concordia. The Saints also finished before NCAA Division II Ferris State and DIII Calvin.

Xochitl Garcia led the way with an eighth-place showing after a 19:22.9 finish. Teammate Emily Monroe was 19th with a time of 19:59.4. Morgan Turk (20:39.1), Brooke Hildebrandt (20:49.1), and Bridgette Dudley (21:08.1) finished in the 30s. Bailey McCulloch had a time of 21:27.4 to place 47th, while Isabelle Uganski completed the top seven finishes for Siena Heights with a 21:36.4.

The SHU women's cross country team will compete in the Bethel Invitational next Friday, October 7, in Mishawaka, Indiana.
