TOLEDO, Ohio -- The Siena Heights women's cross country team fell three points behind Ursuline (Ohio) to claim second place on the team standings at the Lourdes University Terracotta Invitational on Friday morning with 65 points.
The Saints were well ahead of third-place Lourdes who had 83 points. Bluffton finished fourth with 106 points while Adrian College was fifth with 110. Cleary and Concordia (Mich.) wrapped up the team standings with 130 and 141 points respectively.
Xochitl Garcia led the Saints with a fourth-place finish with a time of 20:21.1. The next three Saints finished back-to-back-to-back as Emily Monroe finished next in 13th with a time of 21:36.7, Isabelle Uganski was 14th with a 21:44.6, and Brianna Martin was 15th with a 21:49.3. Morgan Turk finished the race in 22:17.2 to grab 19th just ahead of Perla Reyes who was 20th with a 22:17.4. Alexis Cordle was the final top-seven finisher for SHU as she crossed the finish line in 22:26.5 for 23rd. Brooke Hildebrandt was 30th with a time of 22:48.8 and Haley Beier was 34th with 23:26.8.
