Siena Heights Women's Cross Country Xochitl Garcia (So. | Bronson, Mich.) has tabbed the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week announced by the league office today.
Garcia was the top SHU finisher for fifth place overall at the Jayhawk Invitational on Saturday, October 17 by finishing the 5K course with a time of 19:09. She was the top NAIA / WHAC finisher and helped the Saints to a second-place finish with a team score of 55.
This is the first WHAC Women's Runner of the Week award of the season for the Saint program and the first of Garcia's career.
Garcia will lead the Saints back into action during Spring 2021 when they will finish out their season due to COVID-19.
