MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The Siena Heights women's cross country team finished ninth of 18 teams in the Bethel Invitational, on Friday.

As a team, SHU had 244 points with a five-person time of 1:39:49.8 to average 19:58.0 on the 5k course. Winning team Aquinas had 45 points and a time total of 1:32:50.5 for an average of 18:34.1.

The top Saints' finisher was Ashley Russo who took 10th, crossing the finish line at 18:41.2. Individual winner, Ellie Willging from Saint Xavier (Ill.), finished the course in 17:44.9.

Next for SHU was Andrea Crowe who took 48th, coming in at 19:55.5. Anna Buist and Eva Chmielewski finished in 55th and 57th, respectively, at 20:00.5 and 20:06.9. The final Saints' scorer in 74th was Patricia Santos-Buitrago with her time of 20:45.5.

SHU will return to action on Friday, Oct. 13, in the Jayhawk Cross Country Invitational in Muskegon, Mich.
