Siena Heights women's cross country runner, junior Ashley Russo earned Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Cross Country Runner of the Week for her performance in the Grand Rapids Raider XC Invitational.

With her career best 5k time at 18:42.2, the Kent City, Mich. native earned first placeat the GRCC Invite. With a last second push, Russo beat second place finisher by 1.4 seconds while third place finisher came in at 19:31.7.

Russo helped Siena Heights to a first place finish over WHAC foe, NAIA third-ranked Aquinas. This is the only first place finish SHU has on the season, so far.
