GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Ashley Russo took first place as four Saints finished in the top-10 to earn first place for the Siena Heights women's cross country team at the Grand Rapids Raiders Cross Country Invitational, on Friday.

Russo finished the 5k course in 18:42.2 to earn first place and help the Saints to an overall time of 1:37.44. SHU beat Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference foe, NAIA third-ranked Aquinas, who finished in second at 1:39.40.

Kristin Stobinski crossed the finish line at 19:34.0 to earn fourth place while Mariah Ridal finished sixth at 19:44.3.

Lauren McMahon ran the course in 19:45.8 for eighth place. The last Saints' score came in at 20:08.8 when Lucia Alfaro was the 12th finisher to cross the finish line.

Siena Heights is set for travel to Carlisle, Pa. on Saturday, Sept. 24 for the Dickinson Long Short Invitational.
