Geibe Takes Decision Over Ranked Opponent as Women's Wrestling Takes on Two Ranked NCAA Programs

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's wrestling team faced a tough task Tuesday night against two ranked NCAA programs. The Saints lost by scores of 40-5 to 12th-ranked Adrian and 28-8 to eighth-ranked Gannon.

In the dual against Gannon, Bo Geibe picked up a victory over Annabelle Helm, the NCAA's No. 8-ranked wrestler at 170 pounds. Geibe earned a 6-0 decision.

Saints coach Dominic Adams said Geibe is wrestling really well as the postseason approaches.

Phoenix Waters continues to get better late in the season as she earned a win for SHU versus Gannon, taking a pinfall against Ariana Gonzalez at 5:11 of the 136-pound match.

Adams said Bailey Jones and Alayna Smith have had three tough matches in the past week, improving each time they take the mat.

Shayra Calderon picked up a fall in her first match of the second semester with a hard-fought victory.
