A forfeit at 143 pounds and pin and tech fall at 155 and 170 by Adrian cut into the Saints lead and made it  22-20 heading into the final match of the night.

"It is always great to get a win in your home gym and is a little sweeter when it is our first-ever home contest and for the Maple City Cup," said Head Coach Dominic Adams. "Our team had to overcome adversity and was stepping over hurdles up until the very first whistle. This is a great motivator heading into finals week and our last competition of the semester. The atmosphere created by the students and fans made it a really exciting event. "

The win moves the Saints to 10-4 overall. Siena Heights will compete at Hiram on Saturday, Dec. 17.
