5 Saints ranked in NAIA Top 20

Five Saints are ranked in the top 20 in their weight class and Siena Heights women's wrestling moved closer to being ranked in the Top 20 in the NAIA national rankings.  

This is the first time in program history that five Saints.  

Valeria Ahumada jumped to No. 9 at 109 pounds after previously being No. 17 in the previous poll. Ahumada is 17-5 on the season.  

Also breaking into the rankings at 109 is No. 18 Chelsea Horsley. She was previously unranked and is 3-3 on the year. It is the first time in program history that the Saints have multiple wrestlers ranked in the same weight class.  

A third Saint who broke into the rankings this week is No. 16 Mallory Chunat at 130 pounds. She is 15-7 this season.  

Bo Geibe remained at No. 16 and leads the Saints with a 20-6 record.  

The third new Saint to break into the rankings was No. 16 Mia Delgado at 191 pounds. She is 14-9 this season.  

"The most recent poll shows that our student-athletes are getting better each week," said Head Coach Dominic Adams. "We need to continue to capitalize on the opportunities in front of us as the season progresses. The work continues." 

The Saints received 31 votes for the Top 20 team poll, just nine points from breaking into the team rankings.  

Southern Oregon is the No. 1 team in the country and five other Mid-South Conference schools are ranked – including four in the Top 10. Life is No. 3, Campbellsville is No. 4, Cumberlands is No. 6 and Indiana Tech is No. 10. Brewton Parker is ranked No. 18.
