Women's Volleyball Outlasts Dearborn For Five-Set Victory

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's volleyball team outlasted Michigan-Dearborn for a 3-2 victory during WHAC action Wednesday night at the SHU Fieldhouse. Set scores, in favor of SHU, were 25-19, 20-25, 19-25, 31-29, 15-6.

Devyne Eisenhauer led the way with 16 kills and 10 digs while Aubrey Bates totaled 49 assists, 10 digs and three aces. Kinsey Wagner added 14 kills and Olivia Norman finished with 11 kills and seven total blocks.

On the defensive end, Payton Osborne made 21 digs.

The Saints overcame a 2-1 deficit and faced four match points in the fourth set before running away to victory in the fifth.

SHU (16-5, 8-3) trailed 18-17 in the opening set before closing on an 8-1 run, getting three blocks from Norman in that stretch.

The visiting Wolverines (9-11, 5-6) came back to win the second and third sets. Then, in the fourth, UMD had four chances to finish off the match, but SHU survived each time.

The fourth finally finished with a 3-0 run by Siena Heights.

In the fifth, SHU jumped out to a 2-0 lead and never trailed the rest of the way.

Siena Heights will play next on Friday with it visits Cornerstone for a 7 p.m. WHAC contest.
