Eisenhauer Powers Women's Volleyball Past LTU

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- Devyne Eisenhauer led the Siena Heights attack with 17 kills as the Saints' women's volleyball team earned a 3-1 victory over WHAC opponent Lawrence Tech on Friday. Set scores, in favor of SHU, were 24-26, 27-25, 25-16, 25-16.

Eisenhauer also hammered four aces and made 15 digs for the Saints (11-4, 3-3) while Taylor Wegener finished with 11 kills and 12 digs.

Aubrey Bates totaled 38 assists and 14 digs, Payton Osborne added 14 digs and Olivia Norman had three blocks.

The first two sets were both decided by two points. Trailing by one set, SHU outlasted LTU in the second and finished on a 4-1 run. Eisenhauer had two kills and an ace in that stretch.

After taking a 2-1 edge through three sets, Siena Heights continued its momentum in the fourth, eventually taking command with a six-point run to take a 20-10 lead. Wegener had three kills and a block while Jessica Holsapple smacked two kills during that stretch.

SHU will return to action on Saturday with a 1 p.m. match at WHAC opponent Concordia.
