Women's Volleyball Earns First WHAC Win with Sweep of Cornerstone

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's volleyball team earned its first WHAC win of the season with a 3-0 sweep over Cornerstone on Saturday at the SHU Fieldhouse. Set scores were 25-22, 25-23, 25-23.

Devyne Eisenhauer hammered 14 kills while Kinsey Wagner put down eight kills and five total blocks. Taylor Wegener added seven kills and Aubrey Bates made 31 assists.

Olivia Norman was in on four blocks and Jessica Holsapple smacked three aces.

The Saints held off a hard-charging Golden Eagles squad in each of the three sets. In the first, SHU finished with a 5-2 stretch after the teams were tied at 20-all.

Siena Heights led by nine in the second set and six in the third before CU closed its deficit to 24-23 in each set before the Saints finished out the points.

SHU (9-4, 1-3) will return to action on Wednesday with a 7 p.m. WHAC home match against Rochester.
