ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's volleyball team earned a pair of victories on Friday on the opening day of the SHU Invitational. The Saints defeated Georgetown, 3-1, and Roosevelt, 3-2.

The Saints will return to action on Saturday with matches against Indiana Northwest and Kentucky Christian.

Saints 3, Georgetown 1
Set scores: SHU 24-26, 25-12, 25-20, 25-16

Taylor Wegener, Isabelle Kirkendall and Olivia Norman totaled seven kills each. Wegener also had seven digs, Norman made three blocks and Aubrey Bates totaled 31 assists.

Saints 3, Roosevelt 2
Set scores: SHU 25-23, 17-25, 22-25, 25-19, 15-12

Wegener led the way with 13 kills and 11 digs. Bates added 37 assists and 12 digs.

Also for SHU, Kirkendall made 12 kills and Norman put down five blocks.

Peyton Osborne finished with 21 digs and three aces. Jessica Holsapple smashed four aces.
