Women's Volleyball No. 2 on WHAC Poll with Three First-Place Votes

The Siena Heights women's volleyball team ranked No. 2 on the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference preseason coaches poll as announced by the league.

SHU was one of four schools to receive first-place votes, garnering three itself. The Saints rate behind only Indiana Tech by one point while defending WHAC champ Cornerstone is third.

The Saints had their most successful season in program history last year and finished second in the WHAC regular season. In the WHAC Tournament, Siena Heights defeated Aquinas, 3-0, in the quarterfinals before falling to Indiana Tech in the semifinals, 3-1.

Siena Heights ended last season with a 24-8 record while going 18-2 in conference play. SHU returns a quartet of All-WHAC performers: Aubrey Bates (First Team), Devyne Eisenhauer (First Team), Olivia Norman (First Team) and Kinsey Wagner (Second Team). Eisenhauer was also the WHAC Newcomer of the Year.

The Saints are slated to open their season on Aug. 18-19 with four matches at the Keiser Invitational in West Palm Beach, Fla. After another road match, at Huntington on Aug. 30, SHU will open the Fieldhouse with the Siena Heights Invitational on Sept. 1-2.
