Saints Move onto the WHAC Semifinals, After Big Win Over Aquinas

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Siena Heights women's volleyball team competed in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Tournament Quarterfinals at home. Where they hosted Aquinas College which held the seventh seed in the playoff tournament. SHU swept past the visiting Saints in a 3-0 victory to advance to the Semifinals for the fourth time in program history.

Freshman Devyne Eisenhauer paved the way holding 13 kills on top of two assists, and 10 digs. Taylor Wegener held nine kills and the highest hitting percentage at .444 as well as two digs and a block. Aubrey Bates collected 37 assists while picking up five kills, one ace, and two blocks. Libero Payton Osborne totaled 15 digs in the match while Lauren Ray served four aces and tallied three digs.

Control from behind the service line aided Siena, who totaled nine aces during the three-set match. SHU led set one collecting points from major runs that consisted of huge kills and tremendous pickups from the back row. Moving into the second Kinsey Wagner had a long service appearance early on that created separation in the score. Siena Heights would have to battle for the win as the teams traded points from the 20-point mark until the end of the set at 28-26. SHU controlled the flow of play from the first point in set three leading the entirety of the last set to end the match 3-0.
