SHU Women's Volleyball Puts Away the Gray Wolves in a 3-0 Match

SYLVANIA, Ohio – The Siena Heights women's volleyball traveled to the campus of the Lourdes University Gray Wolves Saturday afternoon for a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup. The saints walked away with a 3-0 sweep over the Gray Wolves extending the current streak to six games and bringing SHU's WHAC record to 16-2.

Olivia Norman led the Saints totaling 13 kills and five blocks during the match. While Kinsey Wagner rounded up 11 kills, two assists, three aces, and one block. Devyne Eisenhauer picked up 20 digs for Siena as Claire VanDyke tallied 11 and Payton Osborne collected 25. Setter Aubrey Bates earned 37 assists, five kills, two aces, and 10 digs.

VanDyke served six balls for the Saints, establishing a 9-1 lead in set one. The lead would continue to the end of the match; however, Lourdes would make adjustments to battle the Saints in set two. As the teams traded points and exchanged the lead multiple times, SHU came out on top, taking set two 27-25. The final set held Siena's highest kill total at 18. Control from the service line aided Siena Heights and allowed Bates to run the SHU offense at full capacity. Wagner would close out the game from the service line ending the set 25-16.
