ANN ARBOR, Mich.– The Siena Heights women's volleyball team adds one more win to the streak. SHU traveled to the campus of the University of Michigan to play in Cliff Keen Arena against UM-Dearborn for a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic conference matchup. Siena defeated the Wolverines 3-1, extending the winning streak and becoming 9-1 in conference play.
Leading the way for the Saints offensively was Freshman, Devyne Eisenhauer to racked up 16 kills, three aces, nine digs, and one block. Olivia Norman totaled 14 kills, three digs, and two blocks. Aubrey Bates collected 47 assists on top of four kills, two aces, 12 digs, and one block. Defensively Kinsey Wagner put up four blocks while having nine kills. Payton Osborne picked up 23 digs while holding two assists and one service ace.
34-32, was the final score of set one. Three points was the largest lead seen in the first set. Moving into set two, leading the match Siena had to fight for control early seeing a tie score until Bates was behind the line and created space with a service ace putting SHU up 21-19. From there the Saints offense shut down the set seeing three kills in the last five plays.
Falling behind early in the third cost Siena the set after the team was unable to dig themselves out of a hole. But back with a venges SHU put the match to rest in the fourth dominating the net offensively and from behind the service line as Eisenhauer had a six-point service run and Osborne had a five-point run. Ending the set 25-20 and the match 3-1.
