Tylutki and Shay Highlight Saint Women's Volleyball Players WHAC Honors

Seven Siena Heights women's volleyball players were given Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) honors by the league office on Friday, November 9. Saint senior Christine Tylutki was named to the First Team All-WHAC, All-Academic, and Champions of Character teams while fellow senior Ashleigh Shay was named to the Second Team. Janel Ruhlman was the lone SHU Saint on the All-Freshman WHAC team. Rebekah Collier, Taylor Felver, Madison Sitter, and Anna Tartarian joined Tylutki and Shay on the All-Academic WHAC team.

Tylutki led the team in kills this season with 301. She was also second on the team in total digs this year with 386. The senior from Monroe, Michigan had a team-high 12 double-doubles in 2018 and was third on the team in blocks with 64 (1+63).

Shay recorded the second-highest kills total (227) while leading the team in blocks (11+107=118). She finished fourth in the WHAC in blocks/set with 1.04 and was ninth in hitting percentage with .247 on the season.

Ruhlman finished with 211 kills (3rd on team) and 65 blocks (3+62) which was second-most.

Collier registered 61 total blocks (5+56) to finish fourth on the team in that category. She also had 66 kills.

Felver had the fifth-most kills this season with 167. She was also a force on the defensive side with 315 digs (3rd on team).

Sitter finished with the second-most assists on the team with 126. She tallied six kills, five blocks, and two service aces while on the court this season.

Tartarian finished with the fifth-highest digs total (204) and service aces (21). She also compiled 15 assists on the year.

The Saints finished the 2018 season with a 17-15 mark overall and a 10-10 record. The 10-10 conference finish was good enough for the eighth and final spot in the conference tournament.
