Women's volleyball junior, Taylor Felver, and seniors, Abby Whitehead, Julie Bonk, Libby Breton, Gabrielle Kalugar, Taylor Purcell and Amanda Metz were honored as Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athletes as announced on Friday.

Bonk, a communications major, Breton and Purcell, biology majors, Felver, an accounting major, Kalugar, a secondary education major, Metz, an elementary education major, and Whitehead, a nursing major, were all members of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference All-Academic team.

To be nominated for this award, the student-athlete must maintain a minimum of a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior status.

A total of 556 student-athletes were honored as Daktronics Scholar Athletes.
