Metz and Tylutki Named WHAC Women's Volleyball Setter and Attacker of the Week

Siena Heights women's volleyball players Amanda Metz and Christine Tylutki were named Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Setter and Attacker of the week, respectively. 

The duo helped the Saints to a 2-0 week, by defeating Aquinas, 3-2 on Wednesday and then Indiana Tech, 3-1 on Friday. This moves SHU to an overall record of 17-2 and 7-1 WHAC record. 

In the two contests, Tylutki finished with 23 kills against Aquinas and 11 against Indiana Tech, averaging 3.78 kills per set. Her 23 kills in the match with Aquinas, was tied for second at SHU for game-high kills. She also added 3.11 digs per set and seven blocks in the two contests, six of which were against ITU. 

Metz grabs her second WHAC Setter of the week honor this season after dishing out 86 assists in two matches this week -- 46 against Aquinas and 40 against Indiana Tech, giving her an average of 9.56 assists per set. She also contributed 23 digs in the match with Aquinas, and six kills against the Warriors. 

Next up, the Saints will head to Lourdes for a WHAC contest on Wednesday, Oct. 11. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
