THE MATCHES
The Siena Heights women's volleyball team will travel to Pittsburgh, Pa. to compete in the Point Park Tournament Friday, Sept. 2, and Saturday, Sept. 3.

The Saints will start off the tournament on Friday against Rio Grande (Ohio) at 12 p.m. and the hosting Point Park Pioneers (Pa.) at 4 p.m. On Saturday, SHU will face Lawrence Tech for a non-conference contest at 8 a.m. followed by a 2 p.m. match against Montreat (N.C.).

SHU enters the weekend coming off a strong 3-1 start in their season opening tournament at Concordia. The Saints suffered a 1-3 loss to Mount Vernon Narzarene before sweeping Goshen, Grace and Lawrence Tech to cap off a solid kick-off tournament.

Rio Grande (Ohio) enters the tournament after a 2-3 start at the St. Thomas Inviational in Miami, Fla.

Point Park is coming off of a rough 1-9 start to their season after traveling to the Montreat (N.C.) Tournament and the Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) Classic.

Lawrence Tech had a slow start to their season starting off 0-4 at the Concordia Tournament on Aug. 19 and 20. One of those losses being a 3-0 sweep by the Saints. The Blue Devils have picked up some steam heading into the Point Park Tournament after finishing 3-1 at the Michigan-Dearborn Tournament last weekend.

Montreat hosted their Volley In The Mountains Tournament to kick off their season. They finished the tournament with a 2-3 start.

The Siena Heights women's volleyball team will travel to Lourdes (Ohio) on Sept. 7 for their conference opener in the WHAC. Game time will be 7 pm.
