Women's Volleyball Falls at LTU

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to Lawrence Tech in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action on Saturday.

Leze Vukaj recorded 10 kills and Carly Tillotson made 28 assists for the Saints, who fell by set scores of 25-20, 16-25, 25-19, 25-16.

Haley Mercy and Nicole Morgan had 10 digs apiece while Libby Breton finished with five total blocks.

The host Blue Devils had six- and five-point runs in the first set to take a 1-0 match lead before SHU used a 13-3 stretch to draw even after two sets.

In the third, LTU once again went on six- and five-point runs to take command. The Devils led the fourth most of the way.

Jessica Frakes and Mary Armstrong finished with 14 and 12 kills, respectively, for Lawrence Tech (4-16, 1-6). Armstrong also had five total blocks, Josie Queary made 36 assists and Lexi Szymoniak recorded 15 digs.

The Saints (7-5, 4-4) will return to action on Wednesday with a 7 p.m. WHAC match at Aquinas.
