Baker Surpasses 1,000-Kill Mark in Women's Volleyball Loss to Lourdes

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Halie Baker became only the second Siena Heights women's volleyball player to eclipse the 1,000-kill mark as the Saints dropped a 3-0 decision to Lourdes (Ohio) in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action on Friday at O'Laughlin Stadium.

Baker had three kills and four total blocks. She now totals 1,002 total kills for her SHU career, ranking behind only Ashley Hubbard, who recorded 1,101 from 2004-07.

Leze Vukaj added five kills for the Saints (3-4, 0-3), Carly Tillotson had 20 assists, and Nicole Morgan made 13 digs.

Lourdes (7-5, 3-0) was led by Stephanie Richards and Katie McKenty, who had 11 and 10 kills, respectively. Lexie Curtis added 18 assists and Michi Jimenez contributed 21 digs.

The Saints will return to action on Saturday with a 7 p.m. WHAC contest at Michigan-Dearborn.
