Women's Track and Field Wins Kleinow; Valentine Wins High Jump with Auto

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Emma Valentine won the high jump with an NAIA automatic-qualifying height as the Siena Heights women's outdoor track and field team won the team championship at the Kleinow Memorial on Friday.

Valentine cleared 1.73 meters (5 feet, 8 inches) -- a season-best height -- to win.

Other winners included Jenna-Ann Johnson, who was victorious in the 100 with a time of 12.47 seconds and in the 200 in 26.00.

Tyler Fugate was the winner of the pole vault as she and two fellow vaulters hit the same provisional height of 3.55m (11-7 3/4). Samantha Nowell was runner-up and Margherita Conrad placed third.

Faith Jackson won the 100 hurdles with a provisional 14.55 and Linnearia Richards topped the long jump field with a 5.59m (18-4 1/4).

SHU also had relay wins in the 4x100 and 4x400 with times of 48.26 and 4:28.77.

Shot Put: 5th, Akiyah Ash, 11.76m (38-7)

Discus: 3rd, Jordan Lumbrezer, 34.49m (113-2); 4th, Ash, 33.78m (110-10)

Hammer: 3rd, Lumbrezer, 40.33m (132-4)

Javelin: 5th, Carly Cure, 26.08m (85-7)
