BROOKINGS, S.D. -- Faith Jackson set a school record in the 60-meter hurdles as the Siena Heights women's track and field team began competition on Friday at the NAIA Indoor Championships.
Jackson crossed the finish line in 8.49 seconds during preliminaries and earned the No. 4 seed in Saturday's finals. She broke the previous record of 8.50, which was set by Stephanie Marquardt in 2016.
Pole vaulters Margherita Conrad and Tyler Fugate also competed at Nationals on Friday. Both had top heights of 3.57 meters (11 feet, 8 1/2 inches). Via tiebreaker, Conrad's official placement was 10th and Fugate's was T-13th.
