#26 Women's Track and Field Fifth at WHAC Indoors

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's track and field team had two NAIA auto performances and three provisionals while placing fifth at the WHAC Indoor Championships on Saturday at Aquinas.

Faith Jackson (60-meter hurdles) and Tyler Fugate (pole vault) had auto marks.

Jackson finished runner-up, hitting her two fastest times of the season. She sprinted to the No. 3 seed with her 8.66 prelim time before clocking in at 8.55 seconds in the finals. Teammate Linnearia Richards was fourth in the event in a provisional time of 9.14.

Fugate cleared 3.57 meters (11 feet, 8 1/2 inches) for third place in the vault while Margherita Conrad took fifth with a provisional height of 3.47m (11-4 1/2).

Emma Valentine hit a provisional height of 1.68m (5-6) in the high jump for second place. She already has an auto in the event. Teammates Morgan Lutton (1.60m, 5-3) and Rianna Vincent (1.55m, 5-1) finished third and fifth.
