Fugate Autos, Jackson Hits Provisional at SVSU

SAGINAW, Mich. -- Pole vaulter Tyler Fugate matched her previous-best NAIA automatic-qualifying height as the Siena Heights women's indoor track and field team competed at the Saginaw Valley Classic.

Fugate cleared 3.68 meters (12 feet, 0 3/4 inches) and placed third in the vault. She matched the top height, but fell down the leaderboard due to tiebreakers.

Faith Jackson added a provisional-qualifying time in the 60-meter hurdles, although she already has an auto in the event. She placed third with a time of 8.93 seconds. Teammate Linnearia Richards finished ninth with a prelim time of 9.58.

Jackson also took sixth in the 60 with a time of 8.15. Her prelim time of 8.00 was fifth-best.

Richards finished the 400 in 1:01.40 for second place while Jocie Berry was sixth in 1:02.36.

High jumpers Morgan Lutton and Rianna Vincent placed third and sixth, respectively. Lutton cleared 1.53m (5-0 1/4) and Vincent jumped over 1.48m (4-10 1/4).

Other Top-10 finishes went to Bailey McCulloch, fifth in the 800 (2:33.57); Rachel Rose, seventh in the 600 (1:58.50); Jenna-Ann Johnson, eighth in the 200 (27.16); and Isabelle Uganski, eighth in the mile (5:34.33).
