#14 Women's Track and Field Wins Three Events at WHAC/MIAA Challenge

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's indoor track and field team claimed three individual wins on Friday during the WHAC/MIAA Challenge at Aquinas.

Margherita Conrad, Alexis Cordle and Morgan Lutton won events.

Already an NAIA auto qualifier in the pole vault, Conrad hit a winning height of 3.82 meters -- a big jump over her previous-best 3.68.

Conrad was followed by four teammates that hit auto heights: Samantha Nowell and Tyler Fugate were second and third at 3.67 while Erica Albrecht and Chasity Mies finished fourth and fifth at 3.52.

Lutton won the high jump via tiebreaker while earning an NAIA provisional with her height of 1.64 meters. Runner-up Emma Valentine, already with auto status, also cleared 1.64. Daijah Hill took third with a 1.59.

Cordle hit the line first in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:44.61. Rachel Rose finished fifth in 1:54.69.

Bailey McCulloch had a runner-up finish in the 800 (2:27.01). Emily Monroe added a second-place in the 1,000 in 3:18.31 while Bridgette Dudley followed in fifth in 3:35.40.

Mile-runners Morgan Turk (5:29.12) and Xochitl Garcia (5:34.82) placed third and fifth, respectively.

In sprints, Jenna-Ann Johnson placed fourth in the 60 (8.10) and Linnearia Richards ran to fourth in the 400 (1:01.70).

Erin Gotha was second in the weight throw (14.98 meters) and Skyler Beals finished fifth in the shot put (11.80m).
