Fugate, Jackson, Conrad Lead Saints at SVSU Holiday Open

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Siena Heights Women's Track Team saw three automatic qualifiers for the NAIA Indoor National Championship meet and two provisional qualifiers at the opening SVSU Holiday Open on Saturday.

Faith Jackson hit the automatic qualifying mark in the 60 meter hurdles, winning the event in a time of 8.90 seconds.  Tyler Fugate hit the automatic mark in the pole vault, winning the event with a vault of 3.95 meters.  Margherita Conrad also surpassed the mark in the pole vault with her third place vault of 3.65 meters.

Chasity Mies hit the provisional qualifying mark in the pole vault with a 3.50 meter vault, finishing fourth in the event.  Emma Valentine hit the other qualifying mark for the Saints in the high jump, winning the

The Saints saw a total of four first place finishes, three second place finishes, five third place finishes, five fourth place finishes, and eight fifth place finishes on the day.

The first place finishers included Jackson in the 60 meter hurdles, Fugate in the pole vault, Valentine in the high jump, and the 4 x 400 meter relay team of Rachel Rose, Beautiful Corleon, Bailey McCulloch and Linnearia Richards, winning the event with a time of 4:07.49.

The second place finishers included Xochitl Garcia (19:44.11 in the 5000 meters), Morgan Turk (5:27.63 in the one mile run), and Morgan Lutton (1.58 meters in the high jump).

The third place finishers included Conrad in the pole vault, Isabelle Uganski (19:45.57 in the 5000 meters), Emily Monroe (5:42.42 in the one mile run), Bridgette Dudley (2:39.51 in the 800 meters), and Erin Gotha (14.78 meters in the weight throw).

The fourth place finishers included Mies in the pole vault, Brianna Martin (20:26.94 in the 5000 meters), Clara Losey (14:09.53 in the 3000 meters), Tiffani Larder (9.61 meters in the triple jump), and Jordan Lumbrezer (13.62 meters in the weight throw).

The fifth place finishers included Brooke Hildebrandt (21:16.95 in the 5000 meters), Linnearia Richards (9.21 in the 60 meter hurdles), Alaysia Allen (1:02.08 in the 400 meters), Jenna-Ann Johnson (27.10 in the 200 meters), Abigail Stauber and Samantha Nowell (3.35 meters in the pole vault), Tiffani Larder (4.82 meters in the long jump), and Alexis Cordle (1:46.86 in the 600 meters).

The Saints will return to action after the holiday break at the SVSU Invitational on January 13th, 2023.
