GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Some field athletes from the Siena Heights women's track and field team competed at the Grand Valley State University 10 Event-Last Chance meet held on Tuesday, May 10.
Tiffani Larder was the top finisher for SHU with a second-place showing in the long jump after completing a 5.08m leap in the event.
Narpreet Singh placed fifth in the javelin with a best throw of 31.70m. Erin Gotha was next with a sixth-place performance in the hammer throw with a toss of 45.69m.
Three Saints finished seventh with Brianna Hatfield and Daijah Hill tying in the high jump after clearing the bar at 1.57m on their third attempt. Narpreet Singh was seventh in the discus with a mark of 33.33m.
Jordan Lumbrezer placed ninth in the discus with a throw of 31.00m while Erin Gotha and Narpreet Singh both finished off the top-10 finishes for Siena Heights. Gotha was 10th in the discus with a 28.65m while Singh was 10th in the hammer with a mark of 35.95m.
Select members of the Saints will compete again tomorrow at North Central College for another shot at qualifying for the NAIA National Championships at the end of the month.
