Saints Finish Fourth at WHAC Outdoor Championships

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Siena Heights women's outdoor track and field team finished fourth at the WHAC Outdoor Championships hosted by Concordia (Mich.) in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The Saints totaled 86.83 points to finish ahead of six other teams.

Indiana Tech won the conference meet as a team with 286 points. Aquinas finished second with 132.16, with Cornerstone in third with 116. The Saints edged out fifth-place Madonna, who finished out the top five with 80 points. Host Concordia (Mich.) was sixth, followed by Lourdes, Lawrence Tech, Rochester, and Cleary.

Brianna Hatfield tied for second in the high jump with a clearance of 1.59m. Erin Gotha finished second in the hammer throw with a toss of 43.07m. Skyler Beals finished second in the shot put with a throw of 11.91m.

The 4x100 relay team of Faith Jackson, Chelsea Short, McKenna Russell, and Elisa Blackmon-Todd finished third with 48.91. Jackson placed third in the 100 hurdles with a finish of 14.49. Brooke Beyer was third in the shot put with a toss of 11.84m.

The 4x400 relay team consisting of Jenna Salek, Tiffani Larder, McKenna Russell, and Chelsea short-placed fourth with a finish of 4:02.02. Samantha Nowell was fourth in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 3.45m.

The 4x800 relay team of Alexis Cordle, Isabelle Uganski, Emily Monroe, and Morgan Turk finished fifth with a 10:19.72. Turk also finished fined in the 1,500m run with a time of 5:14.94. Kiara Herring placed fifth in the high jump with a 1.54m. Jordan Lumbrezer placed fifth in the hammer with a throw of 41.24m and discus with 34.78m. Narpreet Singh was fifth in the javelin with a heave of 30.30m.
