SHU Women’s Track and Field Compete at Elaine Leigh Invitational

ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Siena Heights women's track and field team competed at the Elaine Leigh Invitational at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, on Friday and Saturday afternoon. The Saints had 13 top-ten finishes at the two-day meet. SHU finished ninth in the team standings with 33.5 points.

Samantha Nowell had the best finish for the Saints with a third-place showing in the pole vault after clearing the bar at 3.55m, a B-Standard height.

The 4x400 relay team of Jenna Salek, Tiffani Larder, McKenna Russell, and Chelsea Short placed fourth with a finish of 4:05.81. The 4x100 team of Elisa Blackmon-Todd, Short, Russell, and Faith Jackson also finished fourth with a time of 48.58.

Faith Jackson was fifth in the 100 hurdles with a B-Standard time of 14.77. Isabelle Uganski placed fifth in the 1500m run with a time of 5:18.90.

Morgan Turk was behind Uganski in the1500 with a sixth-place time of 5:25.66. Brianna Martin was seventh in the same race with a time of 5:30.81. Daijah Hill cleared the high jump bar at 1.60m to place sixth in the event. Larder was seventh in the triple jump with a leap of 10.34m.

Skyler Beals placed ninth in the shot put with a toss of 11.84m. Peyton Hansen was ninth in the javelin with a heave of 29.17m.

Blackmon-Todd was 10th in the 200m with a 25.70 finish. Brianna Hatfield was 10th in the high jump with a best mark of 1.50m.
