Women’s Track and Field Competed at The Monday Meet at Indiana Tech

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The 14th-ranked Siena Heights women's track and field team competed at the Circle Logistics Presents The Monday Meet at Indiana Tech on April 11. The Saints had five student-athletes set personal-best marks in their respective events at the meet.

Xochitl Garcia had the best finish for SHU as she set a personal-best time in the 5k after a time of 18:33.70 earned her fourth in the event.

Daijah Hill cleared the high jump bar at 1.56m to place seventh. Chelsea Short was eighth in the 400m with a time of 59.11. Tiffani Larder was ninth in the long jump with a leap of 5.15m. Emily Monroe competed in her first 3,000-meter steeplechase. She was ninth in the race with a time of 12:30.15.

Isabelle Uganski finished 10th in the 5k with a personal-best time of 19:03.26. The women's 4x100 relay team consisting of Elisa Blackmon-Todd, Faith Jackson, and McKenna Russell set the best mark for the team this season as they finished the race in 49.81 to place 10th. Brianna Hatfield was 10th in the high jump with a 1.51m mark.

Jenna Salek finished the 400m with a time of 1:00.69 to place 13th. Peyton Hansen placed 13th in the javelin with a career-best throw of 28.82m. Brianna Martin was 15th in the 5k as she crossed the finish line in 19:43.11.

UP NEXT

The Saints will host the Don Kleinow Invitational on Thursday, April 14. This is the first time Siena Heights has hosted the event in four years.
