Saints Fourth After Day One of WHAC Indoor Championships

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Siena Heights women's track and field team finished day one of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) indoor track and field championships in fourth with a team score of 34 points. The Saints had two student-athletes earn all-conference marks in the events that went final on the day.

Daijah Hill earned second-team All-WHAC honors with her finish in the high jump. She cleared the bar at 1.65m, a personal record, to claim second place. In addition, Samantha Nowell earned second-team All-WHAC with her PR in the pole vault at 3.62m.

Faith Jackson finished third in the 60m hurdle preliminaries with a time of 8.92 seconds. That placing qualified her for the final race on day two of the competition.

The 4x800 relay team consisting of Emily Monroe, Morgan Turk, Jezra Reyes, and Alexis Cordle finished fourth with a time of 10:24.35.

Skylar Beals placed fifth in the shot put with a toss of 1.55m. Brianna Hatfield and Xochitl Garcia were both sixth in their respective events. Hatfield cleared the bar in the high jump at 1.55m while Garcia finished the 5k in 18:55.78.

Isabelle Uganski finished behind Garcia in the 5k with a time of 20:20.43. Brooke Beyer was eighth in the shot put with a throw of 1.58m. Tiffani Larder was also eighth with a leap of 4.94m in the long jump.
