SAGINAW, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's track and field competed at the Saginaw Valley State University Invitational on Friday. The Saints had seven student-athletes finish within the top five of their respective events.
Jenna Salek was the lone member of SHU to win their event when she completed the 400 meter in 1:00.56.
Samantha Nowell hit a B-Standard in the pole vault with her second-place mark of 3.42m. Tiffani Larder finished second in the triple jump with a leap of 10.06m. Larder was sixth in the long jump with a mark of 5.27m.
Chelsea Short timed in at 1:03.00 in the 400 meter to earn third place. Daijah Hill finished third in the high jump after clearing the bar at a height of 1.54m.
McKenna Russell earned fourth in the 400 meter with a time of 1:03.14.
Faith Jackson set a B-Standard in the 60 hurdles with her time of 9.13 that earned her fifth-place in the event.
