Tyler Fugate Improves Her School Record in the Pole Vault at Tiffin and Faith Jackson Earns an A-Standard in the 60 Hurdles

Tiffin, Ohio -- The Siena Heights women's indoor track and field team took a small group of student-athletes to Tiffin University to compete in the Andres Family College Open on Friday, December 10.

Tyler Fugate improved upon her school record set last week in the pole vault by increasing the height cleared to 4.07m (13' 4.25"). That height won the event and earned her another A-Standard as she leads the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) in the pole vault. In addition, Faith Jackson earned an A-Standard with a first-place finish in the 60-hurdles at 8.94. Jackson was also third in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.99. Jenna Salek won the 400-meter run with a time of 1:03.41.

Tiffani Larder was third in the long jump with a PR leap of 5.15m (16' 10.75"). Larder also set a PR in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.61.

Samantha Nowell finished fourth in the pole vault, clearing a height of 3.54m (11' 7.25").

Linnearia Richards was fifth in the high jump after making the bar at 1.53m (5' 0.25").

Elissa Todd-Blackmon finished the 60-meter dash with a PR of 8.13 for sixth place.

Brianna Hatfield was seventh in the high jump after a successful jump at 1.43m (4' 8.25").

Skyler Beals threw the shot put 11.31m (37' 1.25") for seventh and the weight throw 11.65m (38' 2.75") for 12th.

Erin Gotha placed seventh in the weight throw with a PR heave of 13.60m (44' 7.5").
