Saints Compete in Hillsdale and Ann Arbor Over the Weekend

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's outdoor track and field team had members compete in both the Hillsdale Gina Relays and the Concordia Legacy Invitational over the weekend. Members of the Saints competed in the first two days of the Gina Relays on Thursday and Friday with the team then moving to compete in Ann Arbor, Michigan at the Concordia Legacy Invitational. The team won the meet at Concordia with a score of 184.00. There were eight teams competing at the meet. Tyler Fugate highlighted the weekend of the Saints with a win in the pole vault when she cleared the bar with an A-Standard height of 3.65m.

TOP 5 FINISHERS

Chelsea Short won the 400m at Concordia with a time of 58.83. She was second in the 200m with a 26.75, fourth in the 200m at Hillsdale (25.46), and fifth in the 400m at Hillsdale (58.67).

Kierra Rice won the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.21. Rice finished second at Hillsdale in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.65. She was third in the 200m at CUAA with a time of 27.49.

McKenna Russell was the victor in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:08.75 at Concordia. She was fourth in the 200m (27.65) at the meet. She competed in the 400m hurdles at Hillsdale, finishing fifth with a time of 1:07.85.

The 4x100 relay team consisting of Chelsea Short, McKenna Russell, Baleigh Irelan, Brianna Hatfield won the race with a time of 4:25.78.

Meghan Godfrey finished atop the triple jump standings with a mark of 10.62m at CUAA. She also finished second in the long jump with a leap of 4.6m.

Jaymz Gibson won the javelin with a toss of 32.91m. She was second in the pole vault at Concordia when she cleared the bar at 3.55m, a B-Standard height. She was fifth in the javelin at Hillsdale with a throw of 35.21m.

Baleigh Irelan finished second in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:09.43. She was third in the javelin with a best hurl of 28.38m.

Manon Lutzke threw the discus for 36.06m for second and third in the shot put with a throw of 11.40m.

Brianna Hatfield finished third in the high jump at CUAA by clearing the bar at 1.54m. She was third in both the long jump (4.32m) and triple jump (9.72m).

Mollie Smith was third in the pole vault with a successful hop at 3.19m.

Samantha Nowell finished fourth in the pole vault with a mark of 3.04m.

Skyler Beals threw the shot put for 11.26m for fourth in the event.

Peyton Hansen was fourth in the javelin with a heave of 26.98m.

Brianna Martin finished the 5k with a time of 20:40.97 for fifth in the event.

Kaylee Kneemiller completed the 100m hurdles in 17.66 for fifth.
